Hi, I'm Riley, an Indigenous graphic designer based in Vancouver.
I spend most of my time designing. I have a particular love for typography, editorial design, and anything that lets me play with words, images, and ideas. My personal projects are where I give myself the most freedom to experiment, push myself into new territory, and occasionally make something just because I think it would be cool.
I’m also interested in what it means to be an Indigenous designer and how my identity, experiences, and community shape the way I see and make things. A lot of my practice comes from curiosity and self-discovery, and I’m always trying to find new ways to bring that into my work.
At the end of the day, I just really like making things that feel thoughtful, a little unexpected, and personal.

A little more about me
Outside of design, I’m a former emo kid who never got the memo that we were supposed to grow out of it. I love loud music, weird and slightly gothic things, anything overly dramatic. I am a little more emotional than necessary but I think that sensitivity actually makes my work better.
I’m also almost never home. I’m usually off doing something with friends or family, exploring the city, finding somewhere new to eat, or convincing myself I definitely have time for one more plan. I’m a big reader and set myself a reading goal every year, which I take far more seriously than I probably should.
