Sisters Walking Together — Logo Design

Sisters Walking Together is an Indigenous and settler-led group of Christian women who support incarcerated and recently released Indigenous women in their cultural and spiritual identities, while advocating for justice within the prison system.
I was commissioned to design a logo that reflected the organization's values of support, connection, advocacy, and community. The design process involved exploring numerous variations, as it was incredibly important that the final logo represented the women at the heart of the organization.
The final design brings these ideas together through a circular composition, symbolizing women from different paths coming together, surrounded by Indigenous artwork in a circle of generosity, connection, and belonging.
